Indiana State @ #11 Louisville: On saturday Indiana State will travel to Louisville as a heavy underdog. The Sycamores are still trying for their first win of the season, and Louisville is not the place to do that. The struggeling Sycamores will need bigs from Rashad Reed and Jay Tunnell to have a chance. Louisville is coming off a 54-68 loss to West Virginia in the Championship of the Las Vegas Invitational. They also post wins over Morehead State and South Alabama.

Charlotte @ Southern Illinois: The Salukis fresh off a 64-48 win over Saint Louis will take on the Charrlotte 49ers Saturday. After losing three straight at one point, Southern Illinois is back on the winning side. Charlotte is a team that hasn't done much winning this season, evidence in there 1-6 record. There losers of 6 straight to teams like; Old Dominion, App State, Cal State Fullerton, Providence, Arizona State, and Clemson. This is a must win for the Salukis.

Ball State @ Evansville: The Aces are off to a roaring 4-1 start, with wins over Buffalo and Austin Peay. Today Ball State comes to town to try and ruin the Aces fast start. Ball State is 4-2 on the season with losses to Arkansas State, and Butler (also beat Evansville). The hold wins over IPFW, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Eastern Illinois. The Cardinals will collect most of there scoring from forward Anthony Newell.

Bowling Green @ Illinois State: The Redbirds, 7-0, will host Bowling Green today in an attempt to keep their perfect record. Illinois State who has arguably the easiest schedule in the Valley will be up against one of there tougher non-conference opponents of the season. Bowling Green is 3-3 on the year with losses to; Ohio State, Savannah State, and Minnesota. There only win against a D-1 school was against Georgia State in the season opener. The Falcons have 4 players averaging double figures in scoring.

Arkansas State @ Missouri State: The Bears will play there fourth striaght home-game tonight against the Red Wolves of Arkansas State. The Bears off to a quick 3-2 start seem to one of the few pleasant suprises in the Valley so far. Arkansas State is 6-1 on the season with key wins over; Murray State, Indiana State, Ball State, and Tennessee-Martin. There only loss was to Mississippi State in there season opener. The Red Wovles only double figure scorer is Junior Donald Boone averaging 10.7 points per game.

Volleyball
UAB vs. Missouri State: The Bears fresh off a MVC tournament championship we're swept in Lincoln yesterday by the UAB Blazers. The Blazers finished off Missouri State in 3 sets (25-17, 25-21, and 25-17). UAB advanced to play Nebraska in today's regional final. This will mark the end to the Bear's season.
Iowa State vs. Northern Iowa: The in-state rivals Iowa State and Northern Iowa faced off yesterday in Minneapolis in a first-round match. The Cyclones defeated UNI 3-1 by scores of (26-24, 16-25, 25-21, and 25-16). UNI who beat Iowa State early in the season had no answer for the Cyclones today. This will mark the end for the Panthers season, leaving Wichita State as the only Valley team remaining in the tournament.
