Around The Valley (12/10-12/12)

Wednesday
59-77 (F)
Dayton @ Creighton: Tonight the Dayton Flyers will travel to the Qwest Center to take on the Creighton Bluejays. Creighton (5-2) is coming off an 11 point win at St. Joe's, arguable there best game of the season so far. Dayton (8-0) has posted a perfect record so far this season but comes into tonight a 6 point underdog. The Flyers most impressive win is a 14-point win at Marquette. They also have wins over Auburn, Troy, Akron, Mercer, and Delaware State. My prediction is a close game that stays within 5 either way but I will pick the Jays since the game's in Omaha.
RPI: Dayton (14) Creighton (110)
75-87 (F)
Butler @ Bradley: The Butler Bulldogs (7-0) will be the second undefeated team to travel to a valley school tonight. Butler will face Bradley, who is off to mediocre 4-3 start. The Braves are coming off a 16 point loss to the hands of Michigan State. Butler arguably though has played one of the weaker schedules in D-1 with games against Drake, Ball State, and Northwestern headlining their schedule. This will be the 3rd road game in a 4 game stretch for Butler.
RPI: Butler (3) Bradley (62)
67-70 (F)
Missouri State @ Tulsa: The Bears of Missouri State (4-2) will go for there third straight win tonight at Tulsa. Missouri State is coming off a 5 point win on Saturday against Arkansas State. Tulsa (4-4) has lost 3 straight games to Illinois, Ohio, and Oklahoma. The Golden Hurricane has played a very tough schedule 3 road games and 3 Big-12 teams in the process. Tulsa will look to take out there anger tonight on the Bears, so I have to go with Tulsa on this one.
RPI: Missouri State (26) Tulsa (135)
76-80 (F)
Eastern Illinois @ Evansville: Evansville (5-1) will host cross-state rival, Eastern Illinois (2-5) in tonight's cellar dweller match-up. The Aces however are of to a hot start but hold only a 3-1 record against D-1 teams. Eastern Illinois is coming off a rough streth, losing 4 of their last 5 games. The Panthers hold wins this year against Machester College (?) and Tennessee State. The Aces will continue with a 10 point win tonight.
RPI: Evansville (7) Eastern Illinois (343)
Friday
73-84 (F)
Georgia Southern @ Drake: This Friday Georgia Southern (3-3) will tip-off the Hy-Vee Classic against Drake (7-2). Drake who is coming off there biggest win of the season against Iowa State (66-63) will look to continue a 5-game winning streak. The Bulldogs might be one of the hottest teams in America right now. Georgia Southern is coming off a 7-point win over Samford at home. The Eagles have defeated Samford, Reinhardt, and Houston so far this season. Drake will roll over Georgia Southern by at least 15.
RPI: Georgia Southern (85) Drake (133)
